10

good food

Whether you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine, Lebanese, Greek, or just some plain falafel, Israel has something new and tasty for you.

9

beautiful scenery

Israel is home to some of the most breathtaking views of rolling hills, majestic mountains, open plains, and planted olive, fig, banana, and sycamore trees.

8

hiking & beaches

With access to the Mediterranean Sea, the Ashdod beach is a great place to relax in the very hot, hot sun. Mt. Arbel, located on the coast of the Sea of Galilee, provides you with a rewarding view after a short, rocky climb.

7

Biblical connections

Not only is Israel beautiful, but this nation is also home to some of the most toured places in the world. Although obvious, Israel provides you with dozens of locations of Biblical places and scenes. Visiting Israel can also give you a context for these events.

6

ancient history

The Hebrew University discovers new artifacts from Israelite and Near East history on a regular basis. Many of these finds include writings, structures, and material culture.

5

political support

The United States is an ally to Israel, but needs your support to continue this tradition for many generations.

4

ethnicity & heritage

If you are ethnically Jewish you can find funding for most trips to Israel.

3

cultural diversity

It may come as a surprise, but visiting Israel will connect you with many cultures from around the world. You could meet someone from Europe, Africa, or Asia.

2

expanding horizons

Israel leads in technological development & innovation. Currently, researchers are developing ways to fight cancer through proteins and immunity boosting therapy.

1

people

Though I believe that you should go to Israel for these 10 reasons, the people there create the #1 reason why traveling to Israel will change you for good. Israelis themselves hold the history, spirituality, hospitality, and beauty of the country. It's true that they might be rude, stand too close, and speak loud in your ear, but they also are some of the most genuine, kind, and hospitable people that I have ever met.

Love,

Hannah
